Nowadays, writing skill has become important things for our daily life since almost all of us do not know how to write something with a proper format or structure. Therefore, writing class in Widya Mandala is held in order to enhance yet develop our writing skill to get better. Surely, writing class has become my favorite class since I have no skill in writing at all.

At first, I was ashame of myself because all of my friends were good in writing. But, I have to push myself to learn more so that I can write better for the next time. I believe that if I have a will to learn something, there will be no more barrier in myself.

In the first meeting, our lecturers told us about the purposes of writing class, the importance of writing skill for our daily life and also how to make a blog. I have learned a lot from it and I am thanksful because of it. In the second meeting, I have learned about how to write a unique story for our blog. Then, I have learned about how to make proper sentences in English so that I can apply it for the next writing session.

Gradually, my writing skill has improved in a good way because of writing class. But still, I have to learn even more so that readers are able to understand what I am going to say in my writing. Thank you for reading, I hope you guys are inspired by this post!

I Thought You Were Someone

It was an ordinary day when I went to the shop with my sister. I was looking around because I had nothing to do. Of course, I did it because I was tired of waiting for my sister. After that, I saw a big guy that similar with my friend named Hugo.

I was sure that it was him. So, I managed to surprise him with my silly joke. I thought maybe he would get surprised if I shouted at him loudly from behind. Then, I came closer to him slowly like a thief and tried to blend with the people around me so that he could not realize it.

“Dor! Hugo. How are you?,” I said but he did not get surprised until he turned his face to me. Oh my, it was not him but a strange guy. That was embarrassing. I said: “Sorry, I thought you were someone..”.

Hello, welcome to my first post. First of all, I would like to introduce my self so that you know who is the person behind all of this post. Okay, let's start!

I'm Yonatan Alexander, a student from Widya Mandala: English Department. I was born on June 22, 1996. I have one (little) sister named Rachel Sonnya Putri. I live in Surabaya, a City of Heroes. Whoaa, sounds great right?

By the way. I haven't told you about my class. I've been studying in Widya Mandala for almost a year. I love the atmosphere there. It's such a nice University because the lecturers are friendly to their student. Honestly, it's important to build warm atmosphere between students and lecturers. Of course, it will boost our motivation to study more and more.

Why did i take English Department as my major? Can you guess it?

Most of us will answer that I am smart in English. Therefore, I take English Department as a major. But, the reality is, I have no skill in English. During my elementary school, I wasn't good at English. Of course, that was true. Moreover, I couldn't pronounce as well as my friend. That's a bit frustating.

When I was fifteen, I found out a quote said: "Hardwork beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." Till then, I realized that I didn't need inherited skill or pure talent in English to mastered it. Yes, that's right!
I don't care about my pronounce, writing, reading, speaking skill. But, all I have to do is "work hard".

Last words. A quote says: "A process won't lie it results". I believe, when I put my heart on everything that I do. Not only mastered it but I will be able to show the world that Yonatan can do it.
